Parental and extended leave policy
Eleven Wentworth recognises that its members seek to balance their practices with family and other commitments.
The Floor’s Parental and Extended Leave Policy aims to provide support to those taking parental leave, carer’s leave and other extended leave for their own illness or injury or that of a family member. Among other things it provides for relief from chambers fees and rent for the first six months, measures to ensure those on leave continue to feel connected with the Floor, and a commitment to accommodating them upon their return.
The Policy substantially adopts the NSW Bar Association’s Best Practice Guidelines approved by Bar Council in March 2022.
Harassment, Discrimination and Bullying
Eleven Wentworth is committed to ensuring that the Floor is a safe and supportive workplace for all, free from harassment, discrimination or bullying of any kind.
The Floor’s Policy on Harassment, Discrimination and Bullying substantially adopts the NSW Bar Association’s Best Practice Guidelines approved by Bar Council in March 2022.
Grievance and Complaint Framework
Eleven Wentworth has adopted a Grievance and Complaint Handling Framework, which aims to provide a prompt, efficient and equitable means of resolving concerns about conduct that potentially breaches the Harassment, Discrimination and Bullying Policy.
The Floor has appointed two of its members as Officers designated to receive and manage any such concerns or complaints, as set out in the Framework.
The Framework substantially adopts the NSW Bar Association’s Grievance and Complaint Handling Framework approved by Bar Council in March 2022.
