Practice areas
Kim has a broad practice, appearing and advising in commercial and public law matters. Her commercial law experience includes class actions, regulatory and taxation matters. Her public law experience includes constitutional and administrative law across a wide range of subject areas. She frequently appears unled in judicial review and merits review matters in the Supreme Court and the Federal Court, as well as in inferior courts and tribunals.
Before coming to the Bar, Kim was a Senior Lawyer at the Australian Government Solicitor, where she instructed in constitutional litigation, and provided advice to Commonwealth government agencies. Kim was an associate at the High Court of Australia and has also worked in international organisations in the Netherlands and Cambodia. She was a tutor in torts, administrative law and constitutional law at the Australian National University.
Kim holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts from the Australian National University, where she was awarded the University Medal in Law. She also holds a Bachelor of Civil Law (with Distinction) from the University of Oxford.
