Chris accepts briefs in all areas of law. Chris’ particular areas of focus are commercial and public law. Before joining the Bar, Chris practised for six years as a litigation associate at a leading New York law firm, Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, where he acted for some of the largest corporations in the US across a range of complex and high-stakes matters, including general commercial disputes, securities law and antitrust enforcement actions, derivative suits, mass tort claims, and regulatory investigations. Chris was also a Senior Lawyer at the Australian Government Solicitor, where he acted for the Commonwealth and Commonwealth agencies in civil penalty proceedings, regulatory enforcement actions and suits seeking major damages awards against the Commonwealth.
Chris was an associate to the Honourable Justice (later Chief Justice) Stephen Gageler AC of the High Court of Australia and Researcher to the Common Law Division of the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
