Background

Hannah accepts briefs in all areas of law.

Before coming to the Bar, Hannah worked as Associate to the Honourable Justice Gleeson of the Federal Court of Australia and Tipstaff to the Honourable Justice Meagher of the NSW Court of Appeal. She was also a lawyer at the Human Rights Law Centre focusing on democratic freedoms.

Hannah holds a Master of Laws from Harvard where she was a Fulbright Scholar and Frank Knox Memorial Fellow. She graduated from a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Sydney with First Class Honours. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours in History. She has received numerous academic prizes including the Dean’s Scholar Prize for First Amendment Law at Harvard.

Hannah has worked as a Junior Research Scholar at New York University Law School’s Center for Human Rights and Global Justice. Her writing on constitutional and media law has been published in numerous journals. She has taught Torts at the University of Sydney.

Hannah has also worked as a journalist, publishing investigations and news stories on legal issues, state politics, refugees and immigration, and women’s safety.
